Trick or Treat!!

The boys in the neighborhood came to our house at 6 and then we all worked our way around the rest of the hood trick or treating. It was such a fun time, as you can tell by the pictures. When we got home Easton was so proud of his loot!!

School Halloween Parade, Party & Performance!!

Today was Easton Halloween Party at school. It was so cute...they came out of the classroom and paraded around the parking lot in their costumes, then they put on a performance of "Grey Squirrel", then we headed back into the classroom for the party!! It was so cute!!

(Don't mind my singing...i am well aware I am not talented when it comes to singing!!)

Party, Pizza and A Parade!!

The Brown Family had their annual Halloween Party with yummy pizza followed by the town parade. The boys had so much fun playing and eating pizza, while the mommies and daddies enjoyed talking and watching sports. Everyone had a FUN time and the boys were exhausted by the time we got home.

Pirate Project!!

On the days that Easton doesn't have school and the weather isn't nice, I try and do an art project with Easton. So I found these wooden pirate masks at Micheal's and this morning while Waylon napped, Easton and I worked on our masks. We had such a fun time, I LOVE the time that he and I share doing fun things!!

Easton's First Crush!!

Well, I wasn't quite sure when this day would happen, but it happened today!! Easton has his first crush, Olivia (see previous post). I wasn't really quite sure when the time would come where I would have to discuss with Easton the importance of asking someone if it was ok to hold hands before you just grabbed their hand. After seeing the way Easton reacted around Olivia today it is very obvious that he has a crush on her and wants to always hold her hand. While on the hay ride he attempted to put his arm around her, her as, she picked his arm off her and gave it back to him. It is so cute to see him interact differently with a girl, although Olivia is very energetic and adventurous, still much different than his interactions with his buddies.

First School Field Trip!!

As a student and a teacher I have always LOVED field trips!! Today was my first day to experience a field trip as a parent/chaperon, and to be honest it was the BEST way to experience a field trip!! Easton's class went to Flamig Farm (the farm we always go to) and we had such a good time. We got to look at all the farm animals and then take a hay ride through the farm. I finally got to meet Easton's friend (crush) Olivia. Girls with that name have a special place in Easton's heart!! She sat beside Easton on the hay ride, what better way to ride...with your girl by your side and your best buddy on the other side!! Waylon got to tag along too and I think all in all he had a fun time too, thanks to Mr. Ryan who pulled him and Avery around in the wagon to look at all the animals!!

Family Time!!

Since the weather has been beautiful this week (high 70's) we decided we would grill out on Monday and start a fire in the fire pit to roast marshmallows. The weather has been pretty cool at night so the fire was perfect. Waylon and Daddy enjoyed the fire but not the marshmallows, while Mommy and Easton enjoyed the fire AND marshmallows. It was a fun family time!!

Hey everyone, I wanted to post THIS LINK for you all to go and vote/rate this film called "Just To Be With You." It is a great short film and here is the back ground on why I am asking you all to do this!!

Last weekend a group of friends and Uncle Alex took part in Apple's Insomnia Film Festival which was a 24 hour film fest to make a 3 minute short. So now they need people to vote for or rate their short film. You have to login to Apple to be able to vote but as long as you have an iTunes account or a .mac you can vote. Plus its free to sign up so vote as many times as you possibly can.

What a GREAT film, right? Alex is such a talented young man...I know one day he is going to be a famous movie maker!! We are SOO very proud of him and could NEVER express that to him enough!!

Waylon's On The Move!!

Waylon has started (when bribed) to walk. He is very confident standing but will usually sit down and crawl instead of walking when he wants something. We are pretty sure he will have the whole walking thing down SOON!!

Pickin' Pumpkins!!

Today we went to the pickin' patch this time to pick pumpkins instead of berries. The Brown Family joined us and as usual the kids had such a fun time together!! It was a beautiful day, about 57 degrees. They had a hay ride out to the pickin' patches and then you took it back to pay for the pumpkins. However, we didn't get off to actually pick pumpkins, they were too dirty, so we got our clean pumpkins from the farm store. As you can tell from one of the pictures of Talcott Mountain (Heublein Tower) the leaves have begun changing and falling...just beautiful!!
