Change Of Plans...

So, good news were still in TX!! Bad news...our Daddy' body building show was canceled! YES...we said CANCELED!! After arriving in San Antonio on Wednesday and doing all the touristy stuff on Thursday, Daddy received a phone call letting him know that the competition was canceled because the promoter was going to lose too much money!! So, after having a fun all day Friday we headed out to Nana & Papa's house on Saturday. Daddy has two more weeks to diet for his NEW show that is now scheduled for Saturday, September 8th!! We will be traveling as a family to Pennsylvania (three hours drive) to compete in the Natural Universe! For now we are vacationing at Nana and Papa's enjoying the lake and all the toys!! We'll still be home next weekend...so check out the blog for TX pictures then!!

GO DADDY GO!!

We are headed to Texas tomorrow morning!! San Antonio to be exact...our Daddy is competing in his very first body building competition! He has been training and dieting so hard that we know he will do a GREAT job! The competition is Saturday in San Antonio, so we will be in San Antonio Wednesday-Sunday, then Sunday we head to Dallas to see friends again, then we will head to Nana and Papa's lake house where will celebrate Waylon's FIRST birthday, then we will head home on the next Sunday!! Can't wait to eat some good ole' Mexican food while in TX!!

Mommy will try and post at least some competition information from the hotel to let you all know how our Daddy did in the competition...we know he will do GREAT!!

Birthday Bash x2!!

We had SO much fun at Devin and Avery's birthday bash!! It was such a wonderful time getting together with 2 of the most sweet, adorable, smart, loving children we know!! Devin isn't officially 3 until September 8th and Avery isn't officially 1 until August 22, yet we are so thankful that we were here to celebrate their birthdays with them and of course their WONDERFUL parents! Amy planned the most amazing party with bouncy houses, a face painter, lots of food and FUN! We are so blessed to have known this family pretty much since we moved to Connecticut and that our children are so close in age (Devin & Easton are 4 months apart, while Avery and Waylon are 1 1/2 weeks apart)! I also had the honor of making Avery's First Birthday cake, it turned out better than I expected!!

Got Milk?!

Waylon takes after his "uncle" Frank when it comes to his LOVE for milk! When Ian and I first meet Bill (Frank) he was drinking a gallon of milk a day! Yes, I said ONE GALLON a DAY! He has since then cut back on his milk intake (I believe), but I know he still drinks an unusually large amount of milk a day for one person to consume. Right now thankfully Waylon isn't anywhere near the gallon/day mark like "uncle" Frank, but when he is given a sippy cup full of milk he doesn't drink or sip it, he chugs it!!

Spikey or Flat?

That is the question I ask Easton every morning while fixing/combing his hair...spikey or flat (meaning the style)? So I was super curious when I heard Easton asking that question this morning in the family room, while I was doing dishes in the kitchen. When I walked into the family room I found Waylon drenched in water from the squirt bottle I use to fix Easton's hair and then Easton combing/fixing Waylon's hair. From the last picture I guess we can all assume Waylon had requested spikey hair!

SUPER E!!

For any mommies of kids who LOVE SuperHeroes then you have to get your child this book...The SuperHero Starter Kit! It come with all the accessories and cape need to transform your ordinary child into a SuperHero! We just got Easton this book, we read the book then transformed him into SUPER E! He had such a fun time flying around in his red Super cape!

Waffle Waylon!

Waylon has a new nickname...Waffle Waylon! Every morning Waylon enjoys 2 multi-grain blueberry waffles. If we are on the go he will eat them in the car or in the stroller. He LOVES them, they are his favorite breakfast food!

Pirate Treasure!

Easton and I did Arts & Crafts while Waylon napped this morning. We had such a fun time making the pirate treasure chest. I have had this kit for some time now, so I figured with the rain coming down outside what better day to stay indoors and make something cool.This kid is too cute...while I was working on this post, he came into the office wearing his pirate get-up with his treasure map on his hook, asking if I had seen the missing treasure chest! Then he ran off into the family room where I am guessing the missing treasure chest is. I am pretty sure he will be a pirate for Halloween!

Kiss, Kiss

Waylon is so funny about kissing lately. When I have a stuffed toy and say "give (toy) a kiss," he will always open wide to give it a kiss. But when it comes to kissing people he doesn't always pucker up...most of the time he will smile and turn away, but he will also give kisses when HE wants to. But yesterday I was cleaning the office with one side of the french doors closed and he was watching me through the glass. When I went to the glass I said "give momma kisses," and pressed my lips tot he glass, he puckered up and kissed the glass. Thus the pictures of him with his lips and nose smashed to the glass.

The Mother Nap!

Waylon must be gearing up for a growth spurt because he took the mother nap of all naps today! He slept for a good 3 hours, normally he takes a 2 hour morning nap and a 2 hour afternoon nap, but not today!! He took is normal 2 hour morning nap, but this afternoon he was well on 3 hours when he woke up! After 2 hours I started getting concerned and checking the monitor more, but this is what I saw...

And when he finally woke up he was in the BEST mood!

Ride 'Em Cowboy!

We took Easton to his favorite place again this weekend. This time we planned it a little better so that he could ride the horse (Waffle). Eaton LOVES to ride the horse and feed all the animals. Waylon is turning out to be just like his big brother...maybe next year Waylon will be able to ride the horse. What a fun day!

KA-BOOM!!!

That's the sound I heard while making my coffee yesterday! Waylon had made it from our family room all the way to the front of the house to the stairs, where I believe he made it up one or two before falling down them! So now it's back to baby proofing the house to keep a certain someone from hurting them self!

Oh, and if you want to get a kid to crawl on all fours stick them outside on the grass or concrete...

It is just much easier and faster to army crawl!
