Two Peas in a Pod

Waylon LOVED visiting his friend Ava!! The Sundays come down every year and stay with our family for the annual work holiday party and our family's Santa party, but this was our first time visiting them. Waylon and Ava are about a year apart but they are the best of buddies. They both just adore each other...Waylon would tell Ava he loved her at least once a day while we were visiting them. And Ava told her mom one morning that "Waylon is such a special boy". Waylon misses you Ava and can't wait to see you again!!

Wild Momma

We were in the Cape this weekend visiting wonderful friends who live there. While there we decided to go on a whale watch trip. It was a rough trip with London running and extremely high temp and her and I taking a tumble down the EXTREMELY steep stairs. But it was worth it to get to see so many whales and especially a momma whale and her baby calf.
The sweet baby just played right beside the boat while he waited for his momma to dive and eat. The kids all thought he was waving at them.

Cannon Ball...

Waylon finally decided after our trip to Michigan that he was brave/big enough to jump off the diving board at the club...with his life jacket on of course. Now I can't pull him off the diving board!

Beach FUN!

We went down to the CT beach on Saturday to visit some wonderful friends whom have a vacation home down there. It was VERY last minute so we just went down for the day instead of boarding the dogs and staying overnight. The kids had a BLAST playing in the sand, catching crabs, sanddiggers and hermit crabs and riding on the tube behind the boat. London LOVED playing in the sand and making sand angels...no pictures of her though.

The boys and Trey going out on the tube!
Daddy and Waylon taking a quick snooze before the ice-cream truck arrived.
Easton with his pet crab...luckily he escaped from the bucket before we left to come home.
Thank you so much to the Gagne Family for having us down...we cannot wait to do it again!!

Blue Beauty...

The munchkins LOVE driving Pappy's BIG blue tractor in the woods behind the house when we visit. Easton and Waylon are at the age where they can actually drive it themselves with minimal help from Pappy. And I love seeing pictures from every year with them driving the tractor.

Small Town..

I LOVED being in Michigan for the 4th of July again this year...there is just something about small town America during the 4th that you can't find anywhere else. We took in the parade in the town Pappy lives in...I think everyone turned out for the parade and Daddy LOVED the fact that it only lasted 21 mins. The munchkins got plenty of candy and got to see police and firetrucks.
The munchkins walking with Pappy after getting drinks for the parade.
Family photo...waiting for the parade to start.
Looking cool, waiting for the parade to begin.
Waylon excited to see the firetruck coming!!
Waving at the firemen...Waylon's favorite part.
Getting the loot!
Waiting for more candy.

fisherMEN...

After Easton returned from camp Pappy, Aunt Kristan and I decided to take the boys out on the boat and go fishing. Pappy did a GREAT job of finding exactly where the fish were...the boys{with Mommy and Aunt Kristan's help} caught lots of blue gills, sun fish and a few bass. They LOVED every minutes as much as I did...fishing is my absolute favorite thing to do out on the lake.

Thank you Pappy for being patient enough to handle these boys on your boat with hooks and live bait!!

HAPPY camper

We decided to head to Michigan a few days early so that Easton could participate in a "first timers" YMCA camp. He got to go to camp on the very lake we were staying on so it made it a little easier on this "hover" mom to allow him to go. He was at camp for 3 days/2 nights and he had a BLAST!! He went swimming, boating, horse back riding, hiking...and lots of other fun things. He can not wait to go back next year!!
Easton with all his camp gear!
Walking to his camp cabin with Daddy
There were 8 other boys in his wing of the cabin...he was the 6th one to arrive and got to pick his bunk...of course he chose the top bunk!
Can't believe my baby boy is old enough to go to camp ALL ALONE! He is so ready to go back and actually Waylon is already talking about when he's able to go to camp too!

Here Fishy..Fishy...

We just got back from almost 2 weeks in Michigan at the lake where Pappy lives. One of my favorite things to do while at the lake is going fishing. So while Easton was at camp we took the 2 younger munchkins out on the boat to go fishing.
