Hockey Mom

Easton tried out for a hockey travel team for next year...and I am pretty sure I was more nervous than he was. He had 3 days of try-outs...out on the ice with 50 other hockey players, some he knew and a lot he didn't. He was trying out for the A or B team, hoping to just make one of the teams. Surprisingly he made the B team...and I couldn't have more proud of him. It was one of the most nerve racking experiences I have had as a mom. I honestly did not care if he made the team...but I knew it was important to him...and I also know that although he's not one of the best hockey players out there, he truly believes he is. I want him going through life thinking he is the BEST at what he loves...my heart was breaking for him, thinking he didn't make the team. But now that he's made the team, I couldn't be more happy!! I LOVE being a hockey mom...they are different than other sports team moms...I can't explain it, but I am so proud to be called a hockey mom!!
