Insight

Easton's FIRST year in Nursery School is coming to a close. As we finish up the year his teachers send home an End Of The Year Evaluation, they also do one in the begining of the year, and then we the parents meet with the teachers to discuss Easton progress and goals for next year. I must say that even though I am super proud of Easton in all the check-list areas(academics) that isn't what made me the most proud or even break down...it was his teachers summary! Here is their summary of Easton:

Easton has had a fabulous year in Nursery School! He is an extremely sweet and thoughtful little boy. Easton always has a wonderful smile for his teachers, and a very positive attitude. Even when he is sad, it is short-lived, since it doesn't take much to help Easton wipe away the frown and encourage the return of that happy face. He is affectionate and always has a hug, and an "I Love You", for both of us every day.
We are so proud of the progress Easton has made this year both socially and academically. He is so enthusiastic and excited to be involved in all that we have done in school. Easton is very kind to his friends, sharing and offering support whenever necessary. He is always ready to help with clean-up, and never has to be reminded.
He now understands the need for, and importance of, personal space. He is able to defend himself with his words, and is comfortable using his words with teachers and friends. Easton has become more independent, and can handle most situations by himself, without asking for help. Easton has made many friends, who enjoy playing with him in our various centers. It is such fun watching Easton dressed up in a black cape and pirate hat. We often have to persuade him to remove the cape during Circle; he enjoys wearing it throughout morning Choice Time, even when he leaves the drama area.
*Academic progress*
We will miss Easton very much next year. Thank you so much for sharing him with us. We wish him lots of happy times and continued success in Pre-K.

What I love most about this summary of my child is that in a classroom full of 15 other kids they got my Easton! His funny and charming little quirks!! I am so thankful to the two women who care for and love my child every Tuesday and Thursday.

BIG Boy Bunk Beds...

We decided that with less than 70 days until Little London arrives that it was time to move Waylon into his bottom bunk bed. We put the rail up and moved him and his B(blanket) into his and Easton's room on Friday night. Luckily we haven't regretted the move! Waylon has done an AMAZING job, staying in his bed! It is amazing how small he looks in his new bed, but how big he looked in his crib. Easton has been the GREAT big brother setting a good example for Waylon. They both now rush into THEIR room after bath to get pj's on, read books and get into bed!!

Easton & Waylon LOVE the Farm...

E-I-E-I-OWe have had GREAT weather this entire week, so on Thursday we decided to take the boys to the farm for the first time this year! Like always they LOVED the farm and couldn't get enough of all the animals. Waylon is so cute, he knows all the noises the animals make but not all the names of the animals, so he spent most of his time calling the animals by noise(neigh-horse, baa-sheep). Then when we went into the barn to wash our hands we got to see lots of little baby turkeys, that were only 1 day old. We had such a fun time and can't wait to go back when the ponies are giving rides!!

Growing Up!!

We can't believe how quickly Waylon has/is growing up!! It amazes me every day what he is doing and wanting to do. I think seeing Easton doing so many things on his own really pushes Waylon to want to and try new things on his own. Waylon has started using a spoon to feed himself, he has been using a fork for a while now, but now he can eat his breakfast and lots of other snacks at the table with no help from Mommy and no big messes either!!

Time Changes....

EVERYTHING!!
In late September I went on a girls weekend with 3 other girls to New York City, it was such a fun time. Well, last night my dear friend Amy had her 31st Birthday Bash and we all showed up to celebrate. Things have changed A LOT from our NY trip to last night...we are ALL pregnant and due with a month of one another!! Carla Due July 24, Me due July 5, Amy due July 11 and Andrea due June 2. And the even greater/crazier thing is that we all live on the same street!! Carla, Andrea and I are all having girls while Amy's little boy will be VERY lucky!! Just amazing how much can change in such a short time!!

Super UndiesBoy!!

Waylon has become fascinated with wearing BIG boy undies! I was putting laundry away this morning which included Easton's undies, when Waylon found a pair of the undies he insisted..."undies, undies"...that I put them on him. Not having time before his morning nap to watch him carefully with only undies on I decided to put them over his pjs. That's when Easton made the comment, "It's supper undiesboy Waylon!" Since all the super hero's wear their undies over their clothes too!

Welcome Home...

Colds and ALL!!
Well, since returning home from WDW(which was amazing) the boys and I have each been in to see the doctors! Waylon went straight to the doctor on Wednesday as soon as we landed with a DOUBLE ear infection...again! He is now off his nightly preventive antibiotic and if he gets just one more ear infection we will be headed to an ENT to discuss tubes being put in. Then on Friday, Easton woke up with a 103 temperature and by 4pm was headed to see the doctor...diagnosis, some kind of viral infection. Waylon then got the same viral infection that Easton had, then they both lovingly shared it with mommy!! Luckily daddy is healthy and taking care of us all!! Just wanted to update on why there haven't been any recent postings!!
*Sorry no pictures with this post...I hate doing that*

WDW Day 9...

Well, today was our last day to spend at the parks!! We headed to Magic Kingdom this morning and hit lots of rides and FINALLY saw Cinderella!! We were second in line to meet the princesses and the only boys in line without a sister !! Easton crushed Sleeping Beauty(first princess) to get to Cinderella!! Waylon LOVED Belle(Beauty & The Beast princess) the most, he wanted to stay with her all day! After lunch and naps we hit the pool one last and final time! Then walked to Epcot to enjoy the Nemo ride again and get a few souvenirs. We had dinner at one of the BEST restaurants in Disney, The Yachtsman's Steakhouse, then walked the boardwalk enjoying the shows before heading back our hotel for our last night! Poor Waylon started running a high fever this morning, we are pretty sure it is an ear infection, so we are praying for easy-pain free travel for him tomorrow!!
