LC turns 18 months...

London turned 18 months on Christmas day, so we had to wait until Monday for her 18 month check-up. She is still the smallest of all 3 kids, by far and she is the most feisty, by far. She is a busy little girl...learning to talk up a storm. She currently says; mamma, dadda, eaton{easton}, bubble, up, nack{snack}, apple, anta{santa}. She definitely has to have things her way or no way. She was in the 25% for weight but has once again dropped to the 20%, so the Dr was a little concerned, she didn't gain the 2lbs that most kids gain and need to gain in order to thrive. We are working on ways to hopefully help her gain the 2 lbs they want her to by her 24month appointment. She is just so busy that she doesn't like to stop{sit} and eat, but we are doing all we can to help her chunk up a bit. Here are all her stats{more for my records than anything else}.
Weight: 21lbs 9oz{20%}
Height: 31 3/4 inches{45%}
Head Circumference: 46 cm{20%}

London Ann words could NEVER express how much we love you. You are an angel who is so adored by her entire family! You are a sweet, feisty, happy, loving little girl and we wouldn't trade you for anything in the world. We have enjoyed being your parents for the last 18months and are looking forward to the next 18 years with you!! WE LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH!!

Santa visits SB Lane

We hosted a Christmas party for several friends this weekend. We asked the parents to bring a $20{max} wrapped gift for their child{ren}, since Santa{aka Ian} would be making an appearance to hand out gifts. We had such a fun time enjoying our friends, pizza, cupcakes and cookies. The kids LOVED Santa{aka Ian} and NO ONE suspected Ian was Santa not even his own kids.
Santa knocking on the door!!
London waking up Sunday morning...my guess is she had a BLAST at the party!

MUST SEE....

When Ian, Easton and I lived in TX we attended an AMAZING church lead by an AMAZING man of God, Matt Chandler. We LOVED The Village Church so very much and it was our home for 4 months and continued to be when we would travel back to TX. My heart was heavy to hear the news that Matt, not only a wonderful man of God, but a husband and a father to 3 small children had had a seizure on Thanksgiving morning and the doctors had discovered a tumor on his frontal lobe. In recent days Matt has shared that the tumor which was later operated on is in fact malignant. Matt and his family will be meeting with a neuro-oncologist to discuss treatment options. My heart has been so heavy and constantly thinking of not only Matt but his lovely wife and their 3 kids. I saw this video today and wanted to share it with you all and please ask you to pray for Matt, Lauren, Audrey, Reid and Norah.
Many Blessings to the Chandler family and you and yours.

Gingerbread Party

Waylon and his friend Jack had a party for 2 other friends this week to make gingerbread houses. Waylon, Jack, Avery and Ella are all old neighbors and go to school together...the four of them create some serious trouble when together. Jack's mom Kelley made a gingerbread house for each kid and then they all brought a bag of candy to decorate their houses. The kids had SO much fun playing and only took a 10 minute break to decorate their houses.

BUSY Butterfly

London and I take a Mommy and Me gymnastics class while Waylon takes an independent class. London's session finished on Monday and as a job well done she got a ribbon, however she was WAYtoBUSY to sit for a picture or even get a picture of her receiving her ribbon. Waylon's class has a few more classes left before his session ends so look for him and his ribbon/metal ceremony pictures in a few week.
Sweet Miss Laura has taught all 3 of our kids at gymnastics...we LOVE her!!
At the end of EVERY class Miss Laura gives the kids stamps...London LOVES the stamps and LOVES when Miss Laura puts one on her belly. She walks around for the rest of the day looking at and showing off her stamp.
Another class and London favorite is the BUBBLES. You can tell London and her buddy Ben LOVE the bubbles.

Traditions...

Easton had a homework assignment from school this weekend and it talked about Christmas day and we started talking about our family traditions and I thought I'd share our family's traditions with you guys and maybe you guys could leave a comment with your family's traditions{I might end up stealing a few}. I think as the kids get older family traditions become more important and I was a little surprised at the family traditions Easton likes best.
*EVERY Sunday in the month of December we make cookies, and each Sunday the kids pick a different kind of cookie to make{peanut butter, chocolate chip, sugar, gingerbread, etc}.
*The day after Thanksgiving "Presents" our Elf on the Shelf arrives in a box straight from Santa{pretend snow and all}.
*On Christmas Eve, the kids get new, matching Christmas pjs after bath time and we always do a picture of them in front of the tree.
*We go to the local mall and get their picture taken with Santa and I have every year framed and displayed during Christmas.
*On Christmas Eve everyone gets to open one present from an extended family member.
* A few days be fore Christmas or even on Christmas Eve we load up in the car go to Starbucks, get cocoa and coffee and drive around listening to Christmas music looking at all the Christmas lights.
Please share your family's Christmas Traditions...I'd LOVE to hear them!!
