Failed Attempts!

So, I have often wondered how hard could it be for me to take a picture of myself and the boys, you know holding the camera out. I have seen so many other people do this and the pictures actually turn out. Well, obviously it wasn't as simple for me. Here are my failed attempts at getting a few pictures of me and Waylon, and later Waylon, Easton, and I.

Biscuit Boy!!

Waylon has few encounters with things he doesn't LOVE...but Gerber Bitter Biscuits are by far his favorite food!! As you can tell from the pictures he adores these little cookies. Usually he gets one or two of these special treats after he finishes his jar foods and we eat our dinner. Normally he doesn't look this messy, but pretty close.

Here is the conversation Easton and I had as I tried to get him close to Waylon for a picture:

Me: Get close to Waylon so I can get a picture for the computer.

E: No, I don't want to, Baby Waylon is a monster.

Me: A monster?

E: Yeah, a biscuit monster. He's SOO SCARY!!

Easton HEARTS Tractors!!

Easton has ALWAYS been a huge fan of tractors, besides mommy and daddy his first real word was tractor. Along with all our yard work and construction going on, we hired a landscaper to come and put a tree barrier between our home and the one behind our house and beside our house. Of course the guy had to come while the boys were napping, but because Easton's windows in his room face the back yard, he heard all the noise and woke up in time to watch the guy digging the holes in the backyard. He just sat on the back porch (unfinished) watching the tractor...complete bliss for him.

Weekend Work!

This weekend was BEAUTIFUL in CT. The family spent ALL weekend working on the landscaping in the front yard. I wish I had gotten before pictures, but I can tell you that before there were really no plants or boarders to keep the grass from growing where there should be plants. Ian worked harder than any other family member (although I have blisters on my hands). He did a GREAT job laying the rock borders and digging and planting all the shrubs. Easton and I picked out all the shrubs and flowers, we planted the flowers and laid all the mulch. As you can tell from the pictures Waylon just enjoyed being outside...but because Easton and Denali worked SO hard they were beat!!

Key Biscayne

These are the last pictures from our Miami (Key Biscayne) trip. We were only gone 4 days, but had a BLAST! Pictures from dinner, Ian was going to his conference, but joined us for a few minutes at dinner. The other picture is of Waylon the jail bird...what you do with a crawling 7 month old while you shower in the hotel. He didn't even care, he was playing with his toys!

Miami Beach

The boys had a BLAST at the beach in Miami. Ian had a work conference so the boys and I tagged along. Miami (Key Biscayne) was beautiful and the hotel was just as nice! Easton LOVED running from the waves, running into the waves, building sand castles, getting buried in the sand, etc... Waylon liked the waves and the water, but LOVED eating the sand! It was a great getaway...not too many pictures since Ian was working most of the trip, but the boys and I had a GREAT time at the pool. We only hit the beach/ocean when Ian was around, too much for me to handle alone. But since Easton was pretty reliable with water wings on the boys and I spent all our time at the pool! Considering it flooded here in CT, we could not have picked a better 4 days to be gone!

Bubble Bath!!

The boys LOVE their time together in the bath...especially when there are bubbles involved! Easton is Waylon's other favorite person in the world! I enjoy sitting back and watching their interactions together. Easton also had to show off his astronaut toothbrush. We are so blessed to be parents to these wonderful little boys!

Sweet Lovin'

I think I've blogged about this in the past, but I had to do it again...Denali is one of Waylon's favorite people! He loves when she walks by him or sits next to him in the floor. Waylon is doing such a great job sitting in the floor, he occasionally falls back when he gets a little too excited. He is also getting both his top teeth which if you look hard enough you can see. They are both slightly poking through his gums. It amazes me how quickly he is growing!!
