Waylon LOVES to play in the tupperware cabinet...it has become his new toy box. He will take all the tupperware out and then climb into the cabinet to reach more fun stuff!!
As you can tell from the pictures we have had BEAUTIFUL weather...high in the low 80's! We have been soaking it in...they are saying highs in the 60's by the end of this week (still can't complain)!!
I don't know where Easton comes up with the things he says!! The other morning he played pirates while I made his oatmeal for breakfast. When he came to the table to eat his breakfast wearing his pirate hat I thought nothing of it. Then when I asked him what he would like to drink he said "milk, so I can be a pirate." I thought, of course because obviously pirates drink milk. So while I was getting Waylon ready for his high chair I hear Easton say, "See Mom now I am a pirate, I have a pirate mistoche!" I am thinking a what?? When I say "what, tell me again." he continues to say a "prate mistoche!" Then when he realizes I still have NO clue what he is saying he then points to his upper lip...then I get it, a Pirate Mustache!!!
I know...it's not like me to go several days without a post...but I have a REALLY good excuse!! Sweet little Waylon has been SUPER sick!! It all started Saturday afternoon, he was super fussy, only wanted to be held. After a nap he was still super fussy, so being the good mommy that I am I took his temperature and low and behold, 101! Well, then I gave him tylenol and just held him all day. Saturday night he slept ok, but when he woke up earlier than normal on Sunday I took his temperature again and again 102!! But it just gets better, my sweet, loving husband had to leave Sunday mid-day to head to Hong Kong for work! When Way-Way woke up from his nap he was miserable, so once again my trusty thermometer came out and this time 102.9!! So now I freak out call the Dr because I can't remember how many hours I have to wait to cycle between the tylenol and motrin. Sunday night poor Waylon was miserable he barley slept (therefore I barely slept) and running a 104.1 tempature. We got into the pediatricians office early Monday morning. And they found the problem...double ear infection with one ear drum about to BURST!! He was in SO much pain they ended up giving him an antibiotic and some numbing drops for both ears. So after starting the antibiotic and running a high temperature all day Monday...he is FINALLY doing better. But of course I should have known that because Daddy will be boarding a plane for the USA later today...wouldn't you know!! But now they are wanting to consider putting tubes in his ears!!?? We go back to the pediatrician on Oct.1 (2 weeks) to see if the fluid is gone...poor Waylon usually has an ear infection for an entire month before it clears up and he usually goes through every antibiotic out there! So we'll see. But this mommy is just glad to have my arms screaming child free and finally getting some much needed sleep!!

Waylon had his year check up today. And Thanks to Amy, I was able to take Waylon to the doctor and Easton was still able to go to his gymnastics class. Amy was so sweet to take Easton to gymnastics with Devin while I took Waylon to his doctor's appointment. Everything checked out with the doctor she only had one concern about his iron levels being a little lower than they like, but hopefully with more red meat and green leafy vegetables that won't be an issue. 
He weighed in at 22.10 lbs (55-75%)
He is 30 3/4 inches tall (75-90%)
We are so proud of you, Waylon and what an AMAZING little boy you are! You are the happiest, easy going, loving, smartest little boy around!!
Waylon got a ride on John Deere ATV for his birthday from the Browns, and it has become his new favorite toy!! He loves to sit on it and roll forward and back, while Easton pushes the buttons for him. He is such a sweet boy, standing more, cruising more, but still NO walking or independent steps, yet!! 
So it's official...I am now the mother of a nursery schooler!! Today was Easton's FIRST day of school without Mommy or Daddy!! As you can tell from the pictures he was more than excited! He woke up last night around 11:30 asking if it was time to go to school yet! Then this morning on the way to school he kept reminding me that I was just going to drop him off and come back later to get him! He did not was Daddy or I staying today! I am so anxious to pick him up and here about his day!! I can't believe he is already in school, I feel like in a blink of an eye Waylon will be right there with him!! I just want to cherish EVERY moment with the boys and not forget a thing!!
Easton had his "unofficial" first day of nursery school. Yesterday was parents day at the school, just to let the children and parents meet each other and for us parents to get a feel for the classroom and the teachers. After we finished meeting the children, parents and teachers the children went outside to plant a mum outside the school. Easton had such a fun time at school, he played mostly with Devin!! In fact on the way there he kept telling me that he wanted to go to school by himself and that we did not want me to stay. It is such a relief that he feels this way about his school. I was prepared with skittles in the car to bribe him and Devin to leave the school, because they didn't want to leave. We'll see Thursday how the Official First Day of School goes!!
