Summer Camp Pick~Up!

I must say Easton did GREAT at summer camp today! Like I said in the previous post I was a little apprehensive about leaving him, unsure how he'd react once he realized I was gone. But when Amy and I arrived to pick the boys up they were outside with their class playing, it was nice because we were standing outside the fence and they were having such a fun time that they didn't even notice us! But when I went into the playground and Easton saw me, he came running over full force to give me a hug! Their teacher, Mrs. Krasner said both Devin and Easton did GREAT and said they played mostly together. When I was driving home and talking to Easton about summer camp I asked him "So who did you play with today at summer camp?" He replied "Devin." So I asked him "Did you play with any other friends?" "No, just Devin." He said. It was so funny because when the boys were napping I called Amy to see what Devin had to say and she said her and Devin basically had the same conversation. These boys I tell you are going to be best buds for a long while! Because the boys did so well at camp today we decided after dinner we'd meet up at Ben & Jerry's and get them ice cream! They had made visors at camp today so before we left Easton made me call Devin and tell him to wear his visor to get ice cream. When Amy answered and I explained why I was calling she just laughed and said that Devin was already in the car wearing his visor (too cute)!

Summer Camp!

Easton has his first official day of Summer Camp at his school for the fall. The school decided to offer a summer camp program for 2 weeks so that the preschool kids could come to the school and meet their teachers and fellow classmates in a less structured environment than the "normal school day." Easton has been so excited to go to summer camp, that is all he has been talking about. Yesterday we had to go to Wal-Mart and get him a lunchbox...of course he had to pick out a Pirates of the Caribbean one (the UGLIEST one of all the lunchboxes)! Then last night we packed the lunchbox and left it in the fridge for safe keeping. Ian said when he was putting Easton to bed and they were talking about summer camp Easton asked "Can baby Waylon stay with me?" Ian said "No, Waylon will have to come home to take his nap." Where Easton then replied "But, I really want Baby Waylon to stay at summer camp with me." Ian's only response was "I know buddy, I know." But it was WONDERFUL that one of Easton's best friends, Devin, went to summer camp today too. It is so comforting to Amy (Devin's mom) and I to know these boys have each other! They will also be in the same preschool class!! This morning he was so excited to get ready for camp and wear his backpack! I wasn't sure how he was going to do with me leaving, but like always he surprised me and seemed fine when I left. I on the other hand, didn't do so well. Amy and I stood outside the door to hear how the boys were doing, and when I looked at Amy she had tears in her eyes which then made me lose it too. Seems like the mommies are bigger babies than the boys!

Devin and Easton excited to see each other & excited about camp!

We're Back II

If you missed the first We're Back...check the previous post. So after spending a few days in Dallas catching up with old friends, Easton, Waylon and I headed to East TX to spend time with my mom at her lake house, while Ian traveled to Austin and Dallas for work! It is one of Easton's favorite places in the world to be! Nothing like swimming in the lake everyday, fishing, playing with frogs and worms, hanging with Nana and Papa, seeing Auntie and cousin Ava! Both of the boys had a wonderful time out there! We were so lucky that it worked out where this trip also coincided with my moms 50th birthday! She is still one beautiful woman! My sister and Ava, my cousin and her 2 kids (Tiffany, Austin & Hailey), my Aunt and Uncle, and my mom's friends and her husband (Dusty) all surprised her with a birthday dinner and balloons. We had such a fun time eating at a Japanese steak house. Easton and Austin were a little scared by the fire and flames at first but they loved the volcano! So here are the pictures from our week at Nana and Papa's!

We're Back!!

The Charles Family had such a fun time in TX! We had a BLAST seeing our sweet dear friends the Iles Family. Angie and I meet three wonderful years ago when Easton and Olivia were around 3 months old. Easton and Olivia's birthdays are just 3 days apart and Waylon and sweet Henry are 18 days apart! We loved our family time with Brad, Angie, Olivia and Henry and already miss them dearly! Easton and Olivia adore each other, they have the BEST time when they are together! Ian and I surprised Angie for her 30th Birthday...she had NO idea we were coming into town, it was so fun seeing her face! I must say she makes 30 look amazing! So there are pictures from our adult birthday celebration and then hanging with families!
