GO BU!!!

Easton was invited to his VERY first college hockey game! We are very fortunate to know the Shattenkirk Family, they have 3 boys, the youngest being Kevin. Kevin was drafted by the NHL's Colorado Avalanche last year during his senior year in high school. This year Kevin started his freshman year of college playing for Boston University. Pat and Barb are incredible parents and have done amazing job raising 3 boys, and have always been super sweet to Easton. They sent Easton a BU jersey and tickets to a game. So yesterday Easton, Daddy and Pappy headed to Boston for the game. Easton was so excited to see Kevin playing hockey and kept asking if he could play hockey. After the game Pat took Easton "behind the scenes" to the parents and alumni area and then to the locker room (DO NOT ENTER) to meet Kevin. Kevin was so sweet with Easton and even took him around the work out facility. Easton had a BLAST and definitely "wants to be a hockey player just like his friend Kevin!!"

Christmas Morning!!!

Christmas morning was a BLAST this year!! The boys really enjoyed waking up to see what Santa had left and of course, opening gifts! With parents and grandparents spoiling these boys it is sometimes easy to forget the REAL reason for Christmas. I was so proud of Easton for remembering that it was not only Christmas morning but also baby Jesus' birthday. We read a book about the real meaning of Christmas and of course Easton's bible every night leading up to Christmas so that he and Waylon would understand why we celebrate Christmas and why we give and receive gifts. It is so important for Ian and I to teach these boys the true meaning of December 25th! I hope and pray that they will always remember why we celebrate Christmas and the TRUE meaning of that special day!!

Christmas Eve!!

The boys were allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve. Then before we went to bed we laid out the cookies we made earlier that day, some milk and carrots for Santa and his reindeer. Then the boys headed off to bed while waiting for Santa to come!!Pappy reading Christmas Eve story!!

Christmas Parties!!!

We had two Christmas parties to attend this year. The first was on Wednesday night(December 19th), it was Daddy's work/kids party. We arrived to eat dinner and sing Christmas carols and talk with Santa. Then all the kids got to receive a gift form Santa and sit on his lap. This was the first time Daddy's work had this event and we must say it was a fun time!!The second party was on Thursday December 20th, it was for Easton at his school. All the parents signed up to bring a snack and then the kids got to eat their snack and then sing a few songs for the parents. I am not sure who had more fun Easton or Waylon?! Easton enjoyed hanging out with Olivia, while Waylon sat beside Devin and stole food off his plate! Although, when Devin caught on he was happy to share with Waylon!!

Polar Express!!

On Thursday December 20th, we went with the Browns to Essex, CT to go on the Polar Express Train Ride. We boarded the train set for the North Pole at 5pm and returned to CT at 6:30pm. The boys had a good time, we were served hot cocoa and cookies and we got to say hi to Mrs. Claus and of course Santa too. It was a long trip that daddy was glad to get off of!!
