Waylon...9 months

Waylon turns 9 months old tomorrow. He is such a breath of fresh air and a complete joy! He is so sweet, easy going, never complains, funny, silly, little boy! He has a mouth full of teeth, currently getting his 7th and 8th teeth in. He is moving all over the place, sitting up, eating big boy foods, and sleeping like a champ! I feel VERY honored to be his mommy and to watch him grow and experience new things everyday.

Urrggg, Crayons!!

I knew this day would eventually happen in the Charles Household. I wasn't even sure who the culprit would be, Easton or Waylon, but it was bound to happen!! And the guilty person was...Easton!!

Tree House

For all you mommy's out there with son's, looking for a good Father's Day gift here is one: The Dangerous Book for Boys. It is a great father, son book, it as several chapters on what dad's should teach their boys. One of the chapters is on building a tree house. So after getting the book, Ian decided this would be a great weekend to try since he had Monday off from work. Easton was so excited to help Daddy build a tree house or as he often calls it a "monkey house." Here are the pictures in order by day and progression!!

There is still lots of work to do in the weekends to come, but this was a successful weekend, in that, we can all sit on the base without it collapsing!

Memorial Day Parade!

Today we went into the center of town for a Memorial Day Parade. Easton remembered going last year and was so excited to go again this year. We meet all of our friends at the center and went and got coffee and waited with all the boys for the parade to start. Before the parade there were 2 fighter jets flying overhead. The would fly REALLY low and turn around and come back overhead again. I must say it was the coolest part of the parade for the parents and boys!!

BIRTHDAY BOY!!

Easton had his 3 year pediatrician check up this morning, here are his new stats:

Weight~ 34.8 lbs/55th percent
Height~ 36 3/4 inches/25th percent

We were a little surprised by the percentiles, since all of Easton's friends are boys and he seems to be somewhat bigger than them, but apparently not as much as we thought.

When thinking of words to describe Easton here are a few that come to mind; healthy, happy, active, energetic, loving, sweet, imaginative, and funny. Hope these help you understand what kind of boy he is! He is still our little E, whom we adore and love, what a true belssing he is!!

Phila-day!

Here are some pictures from our day in Philadelphia for Daddy's graduation. The pictures are from around the Wharton Campus and from brunch at the museum, where the had the most beautiful koi pond, that Easton and Waylon LOVED!

CONGRATULATIONS DADDY!!

Sunday may have been Mother's Day, but for our family it was all about our DADDY!! He finished his 2 year executive MBA program at Wharton (University of Pennsylvania). We (Mommy, Daddy, Easton, Waylon, Pappy, Grandpa Len and Uncle Jon) left Sunday morning at 5:45am to fly to Philadelphia and watch Daddy strut his stuff across that stage and get his degree and came home around 9pm. It was a fun day full of excitement and minus naps! We are so proud of our Daddy for all his hard work and dedication and glad to have him home on the weekends again!

X Marks the Spot!!

Ian's favorite part of the Pirate Birthday Party was the buried treasure. He worked on getting a wooden treasure box, filling it with chocolate gold coins, burring it, and marking it with a giant X. He had all the boys from the party running around looking for a BIG X (X marks the spot). And then each kid had a shovel to help dig up the treasure. The boys LOVED it as much as Ian did! It was a great party!!
