BIG BROTHERS!!

Yep, that's right Easton and Waylon will become BIG BROTHERS on July 5th (maybe before). We saw the baby for the first time yesterday and were glad to know that everything looks great, I am 11.5 weeks along right now. Enjoy the first picture of the newest little Charles!!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow,

LET IT SNOW!!!We woke up this morning confused on why ALL the schools in the area were closed including Easton's. After watching the news we realized we were supposed to get 5-10 inches of snow today, starting at 11 this morning. Well, it started snowing at 10:30 and hasn't stopped yet. I would guess we have about 10 inches right now and will probably get another 2-5 inches before the storm is done!! Easton LOVED helping Daddy shovel the snow and sledding down the hill. Waylon just LOVED sledding down the hill, that is all he wanted to do. They are predicting another big snow storm on Saturday as well...we'll keep you posted.

Santa's Helpers

Here is the official Santa picture. I assure you, Waylon isn't pouting he just has a mouth full of food. Our attempt to make sure he wouldn't cry!I guess I was so consumed with getting the perfect Santa picture, because Ian informed me of the entire Eatson, Santa conversation I missed. It went a little something like this...

Santa: Have you been a good boy this year?

Easton: Yes

Santa: What would you like for Christmas?

Easton: I would like a fire truck, an ambulance and a paramedic.

Santa: And what would your brother like?

Easton: For you to bring me my stuff.

Santa: Chuckles

Santa Visit!!

We took the boys to the mall this morning...thinking if we got there at 9 when the mall opened and shopped until 9:45, then went to see Santa around then because he wasn't arriving at the mall until 10, that we would beat the crowd!?! Obviously we weren't the only people with this idea because by the time we arrived at the Santa area there was already a line formed!! But we waited it out and we were glad we did because the boys did GREAT!! We knew without a doubt Easton would do great, he LOVES Santa. But Waylon, Ian and I both thought he'd have a HUGE melt down. But to our surprise they both did great, no tears, maybe a few unsure looks for Santa from Waylon, but NO tears!! Of trying to get that PERFECT Christmas card photo!! If you are a parent you understand this almost impossible task and the pressure we (moms) put on ourselves EVERY year!! Here were our attempts...(we did get a photo for the card, but you'll have to wait to get your card....hopefully by Christmas time!!)

Bath Buddies

Here are two posts for the price of one!

Waylon LOVES showers these days. Usually on the weekends all the boys will take a shower together. This morning they did just that and Ian called me in to get Waylon out and get him dressed while Easton continued to shower by himself. After getting Waylon dressed I headed back downstairs to check on Kenai. Well I guess Ian just spaced that I had put Waylon back in our room and next thing you know I hear Ian calling my name telling me to bring the camera. Waylon definitely LOVES his showers!!

Now, here are some pictures of Kenai getting her first bath. Trust me I am well aware that she looks unhappy. She didn't mind the bath, however, when it came to getting out of the bath then she was mad and cold!!

Ian and I (OK, really it was Ian) decided it was the right time to get the boys another dog. We got Denali right before Easton turned a year old, so we decided Waylon was old enough for us to get another dog. Ian found a dog through some people in Rochester, NY. They actually have the dogs sent to them from Poland. So last night Ian drove to JFK Airport to pick Kenai up. They didn't get home until 9:30, between the long flight from Poland, the long drive home and the time change, Kenai did not do so well in her crate last night. Today we are playing with her and just trying to wear her out so she will hopefully sleep better tonight.This morning when Easton woke up Kenai walked into his room. He was so surprised and kept asking "is this my dog?" He is so gentle and loving with her. Waylon on the other hand just squealed and screamed when he saw her and then grabbed a hold of her fur. All in all it was a GREAT decision to get a new dog. The boys already LOVE her!!
