Tunderstorms Bring...

Enjoying the thunderstorm

We have had some REALLY hot and muggy weather around here. It seems that with the days being so hot, almost every evening we get some crazy thunderstorms. And if we get thunderstorms late enough on the evening it brings out the frogs! So lately Daddy and I have been going outside frog hunting for the boys once it is REALLY dark. Here is the tree frog we caught for the boys a few days ago.

The nice frog was released without harm back into it's natural environment.

Breathe In...

Ahhh, I love the smell of Dreft Baby Laundry Soap!!! I started washing London's clothes, and every time I get them out of the dryer I just have to take in a BIG whiff! The funny thing is when I asked Ian to smell them, he said, I don't smell anything...nothing? Not that sweet baby, I have to hold you smell??!! NOTHING! I swear I had him smelling every item out of the dryer and his response was still...NOTHING! I have decided that when we decide to stop having babies, I'll just wash a few blankets in Dreft and cuddle with them to get my baby fix!

Nature Center!!

Today Easton's class went on a field trip to the local nature center. We had not visited there yet, so it was our first time. Due to my growing belly and Waylon's lack of listening skills, Easton went on the 45 minute hike without us. However, we did join him for the butterfly garden, the frog pond and snack time. The kids first listened to their hike guide talk about the animals they might get to see on their hike then off they went.

As many of you have already heard Steven Curtis Chapman lost one of his daughters, Maria in a tragic accident. This tragedy has been a wake up call to our family. While reading another blog I came across this video and it REALLY hit home, how we as parents need to slow down and enjoy EVERY moment with our children. This video is so precious because after the song Steven Curtis Chapman describes the songs origin...so touching!!

I also had to post some pictures from last night when Waylon experienced one of his first thunderstorms. He was so intrigued by the lighting and thunder, and it was so precious that Daddy got to enjoy this sweet moment with Waylon. After going to bed Waylon came out a few times to let Daddy know "THUNDER!!" Cherish EVERY moment not only with your children but the people you love...as we can testify to, it is so difficult to lose the ones you love and it all goes by too fast!!
