FIRST day...

Easton had his FIRST day of school today and he did GREAT!! He was a little nervous before going, he was really unsure where to go/what to do when he got off the bus. The bus picks him and all the other elementary kids up at the end of our street and then drops him off in front of the house since it's only a half day program and only kindergartners are being brought home at 11:45. When the bus drops him off they go turn around in the cul-de-sac then drop him off. Well, Waylon was aware of this and got VERY upset when Easton's bus flew by without stopping to drop Easton off. He started crying and saying "I wanted to play with Easton...Come back Easton."

I did well and didn't cry until I got back home after the bus picked him up....then I was flooded with mixed emotions. Of course I was SO proud of the big kid he has become and know he will do awesome at school. But I also know it is just the beginning, each year he will go off into this BIG world filled with nice and not so nice kids. He is the baby that made me a Momma...and now he is no longer that baby{but in my heart he is}.

Welcome Day...

Today, Easton had welcome day at school. Which means the school bus came later in the morning to pick up only the kindergartners and their parents to ride to school, meet the teachers and classmates, play on the playground and then get back on the bus to head home. Tomorrow he will do it all by himself!! I am extremely nervous and excited for him, I am so thankful that kindergarten around here is a half day program so he won't be gone all day. Yet, I will still miss him a ton while he's away!

Same Place, Same Time...Different Kid...

Waylon started nursery school today and he did GREAT!! He did cry{and so did I} as expected, but thankfully it only lasted 5 mins. Since today was also his birthday he was able to take cupcakes for snack, and he came home with a Happy Birthday crown. He cried when he saw me when I arrived to pick him up, but he was so excited and didn't stop talking about school the whole car ride home. I am so proud of him and know that he needs this time to gain some confidence and become more independent. I know that this time in couple of weeks he won't even bat an eye when I drop him off. We are also so thankful that not only does he get to go to school with his BESTEST bud Avery, but also with Ella and Jack, it makes me feel so much more at ease knowing he is there with his friend. Tomorrow{Tuesday} not only does Waylon officially turn 3 but he also starts nursery school at the exact same place as his older brother did 2 years ago! We are so excited for Waylon to be going to school at the same great place and doing it with teachers whom I trust and know will love him almost as much as I do. They are so lucky to get to have this amazing little boy in there classroom 2 days a week this year and I know Waylon will do a lot of growing up this year! I will miss him dearly but know it is BEST for him.

Today he had his Welcome day at school and got to meet his new teacher, see his favoriteteacher{Mrs.Angers} and see all of his classmates. It was a great day and he enjoyed planting his mum in front of his building. He is excited and nervous about tomorrow but I am hopeful and praying that it will go well and he will come to LOVE and look forward to school every Tuesday and Thursday morning.
