BIG Baby Boy Graduates...

My baby boy graduated from nursery school on Monday. And I missed the whole thing...London and I were in TX attending my Maw-maw's funeral. To be honest I was exactly where I needed to be, but I still had a HARD time not being at Waylon's graduation.

Waylon had an amazing experience in nursery school this year. He LOVED his teachers and had a great connection with one in particular. He cried a few times in the beginning but then LOVED every Tuesday and Thursday.

I am so proud of the big boy you are becoming Waylon, you surprise me EVERYDAY with your witty comments and your LOVE for your friends and family. You are such a sweet little boy with an awful stubborn streak! I love you SO VERY much and am SO VERY proud of you!!

Easton had an AMAZING year in kindergarten this year, I can't believe how much he grew...physically, emotionally and academically. It wasn't an easy year for him or for us but we all survived and everyone is looking forward to summer and 1st grade. I am so proud of my baby boy and yet so sad at how quickly this year passed before my eyes!

I love you Easton...I look forward to watching you grow in the years to come...but if you can just slow down a little and don't forget how much i LOVE those kisses, hugs and "I love yous!!"

another year...another birthday...

My wonderful family started my special day out by treating me to breakfast at our favorite local dinner. Then we headed off to church and an anniversary party for our church. But the BEST part was the wonderful dinner my hubby made and the delicious ice cream and cake he picked up at the store. Thank you so much to my family for making my day so very special!!

Fitting In...

Easton has had a great year in kindergarten and has grown SO much this first year of school. He has such a sweet, loving soul and is known for standing up for some of his friends when others are picking on them. However, he is still a {newly} 6 year old who so badly wants to be liked by others, with that said I am sure he would NEVER doing anything extreme to fit in. Today when I went to pick Easton up from his after school program, I ran into his teacher and she informed that she had learned that Easton and an accomplice{girl} had written on the bus seat with a permanent marker. His teacher did not learn of the incidence until after school and had yet to talk to the two of them, but she did tell me she believed the girl told Easton to write on the seat and that she had brought the marker from home. When I questioned Easton about the so called incident he lied...but the more information I knew the more he decided telling the truth might be better. It breaks my heart to know my little baby is just growing up and just wants to fit in...but at the same time he knew what he did was wrong and he should not have done it. He feels bad about what he did {or at least about getting caught}, so instead of playing with legos or drawing, Easton had to write an apology note to his bus driver.
